Teeth whitening treatments are used to brighten the appearance of a patient’s smile –depending on the method by as many as 5 to 10 shades in a single session. According to the American Dental Association, teeth whitening procedures are some of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments among patients in the US. Professional teeth whitening services may be done in an office setting or prescribed for take-home use by a patient. When compared to over-the-counter teeth whitening treatments, professional whitening uses stronger whitening agents that produce faster and more effective results.
Nightguards & Mouthguards
Night guards are unique devices that are worn during sleep to help alleviate symptoms related to chronic grinding and clenching. Night guards are custom-fitted by taking impressions or molds of the teeth, made of durable plastic, providing a comfortable fit and adequate protection between teeth surfaces.
A bridge is a device used to fill the space where a tooth has fallen out or been removed. We offer some different porcelain bridges at our office in Michigan. A typical bridge consists of a pontic (filler tooth) that is attached to two neighboring crowns (abutments). Once finished, this bridge structure is bonded into the mouth. Without the use of a bridge, gaps in the mouth where natural teeth are gone can cause many teeth to shift, lead to occlusion (biting) and jaw problems, and even cause periodontal disease. Bridges ensure the integrity of existing teeth and help support a healthy, vibrant smile
When a tooth is cracked, decayed, or damaged, a crown may need to be fitted onto the tooth. A crown is a permanent top that fits over the original tooth. Crowns can be made of porcelain, gold, gold alloy and acrylic resin. Porcelain crowns may have the most realistic appearance, although they tend to be less durable than other materials.
Restoring Implants: Crowns can also be fitted to dental implants that are place in areas of missing/ extracted teeth.
Also known as laminates- are used to cosmetically improve and often transforming the look of a smile permanently. A veneer is composed of very thin customized porcelain, artistically crafted to an acceptable color and shape. They are strongly bonded to the exterior of the natural teeth to fix broken, misshapen, or crooked teeth. Veneers also provide a solution for discolored teeth that may not respond to conventional whitening methods. Patients with veneers achieve a natural tooth look that is well-tolerated by the gums and resistant to future stains.
Metal-free, Tooth-colored Fillings
A composite filling is a tooth-colored plastic and glass compound used to restore decayed teeth. They are also used for cosmetic enhancements by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth.
